This move involved the crating of 56 high value items. From the onset, it was clear this would require significant attention to detail as the invidual moving required the highest levels of protection as cost effectively as possible. The level of detail required meant the removals company put us directly in touch with their client to organise the crating.
Based on our experience in making customised crates for valuables, we were able to consolidate these 56 items into 24 crates, some of which required high levels of design, shown below, but saving the client over a few thousand dollars. 3D crate designs and pictures of similar crates were sent through to the client, so they were able to anticipate and understand and have comfort that their valuables were going to be protected to the level they wanted. These are some of the items crated:

A custom made Gray Hawk Design dining table measuring 3400 x 1400 x 200mm, weighing a 200kg, needing to be suspended within the crate to avoid ‘bruising of the wood’ from the heavy weight of the table. Both the underframe and table had a gradual arc on them, which also had to be taken into account in the design to ensure even pressure and support. The result was a quick and easy pack, protected table, and a crate with 4 sets of built in handles for ease of carrying.

Rebul has been involved in a lot of large involved crating jobs and we gain useful experience with each one. We have found the key to success in large crating jobs, is communication; in ideas, agreeing designs and being able to give the client confidence that everything will work before a crate has been made. We just make sure that the quality of our crates and accountability of our service is able to back this up. In all there were over 160 emails exchanged and about 30 phone calls between us and the client in the space of 10 days, as well as 15 separate quote revisions, fine tuning consolidations and crate designs to ensure it was right for what they wanted. Everything fitted perfectly in the 24 crates. This is what the individual moving had to say before finishing packing everything:
“So far so (very) good. I must admit to being very nervous about sending off dimensions and having crates made with only just a glimpse of a crate. However, your products have exceeded expectations; not just by a little but by a LOT! Moreover, your service has been first rate. Again, I am truly impressed by your product and service levels. All worked better than we could have wished for. Cheers, Richard."
