Large Export Sculpture Crate
Rebul was engaged by professional art consultancy ARTSCAPE: The Nature of Sculpture, to make several crates to transport artworks by Australian artists Jade Oakley, Aseem Pereira and Dominique Sutton. The artworks were commissioned by the Galaxy Resort and Casino in Cotai City, Macau a $2b development opening in 2011. ARTSCAPE supplied three of the eight large scale artworks being installed within the 55 ha complex.
The major challenge for Rebul was producing a very large crate for two of the most valuable artworks requiring delivery from Byron Bay, NSW to Macau within a tight timeframe.

The beauty of the crate design, is that despite its large size, Rebul designed the crate in such a way that it flat packed down to 1400 x 1150 x 580mm, so it could be easily managed and assembled by the artist at her workshop. The crate was also reinforced to support the 350kg weight, and to protect against any side or top impact.
The sculptures arrived in perfect condition and are now on display within the Galaxy Resort’s premier shopping precinct.
