Internal crate supports can be necessary depending on the structure, make up and integrity of the artwork, how and where it is being transported and how many times it needs to be packed and unpacked.

If the artwork is to be packed and unpacked numerous times, it is important to take the ‘science’ out of the packing, by ensuring there are minimal moving parts, and the protective padding/wrapping is built into the crate itself. This way, you do not have to depend as much on the care on the person packing at the different destinations, to do the right job.
